The FBI receives over 2,100 reports of missing children each and every day. Unfortunately, only a tiny percentage of missing child cases receive the media attention they deserve. The problem is widespread and serious, yet many parents are unaware that nearly 1,000 children are abducted every day. That is over 360,000 abductions every year.

“There must be some mistake… that is way too many!”

We agree. While the statistics are scary, there is hope for many families to combat this growing problem. There are two important things parents can do to help law enforcement protect your children:

  • Educate your child in a way they can understand, without overwhelming them.

  • Prepare for an emergency by keeping accurate records in a safe place. Being able to immediately provide crucial information can be invaluable to the investigation.

Safe Children Program is proud to offer the best, comprehensive child ID safety kits to schools and day care centers around the country. These child ID kits allow parents to educate their children in an informed, non-fear based manner while also compiling all critical information that law enforcement would need in an emergency event.
